Former Saint-Pierre Hospital and its entrance pavilion protected

A highlight of Jean-Baptiste Dewin’s career as a hospital architect is now protected as a monument. The protection involves the remaining buildings of the original Saint-Pierre Hospital in Rue Haute, namely the administrative building, the former nursing school and the entrance pavilion.

Brussels region works on the future of St-Gilles prison site

On the initiative of Secretary of State for Urbanism and Heritage Pascal Smet, the Brussels government has approved to launch the procedure to protect various parts of the St-Gilles prison. This procedure is an important step towards the future reconversion of the entire prison site.

Planning permit for renewed Paulus park and its boulodrome

The Brussels Region grants a planning permit to the municipality of St-Gilles for the redevelopment of the protected Paulus park, better known as the “Eendjespark” (“duckling park”). The renewal of the park is part of the sustainable district contract “Parvis - Morichar”.
